#7 - a smile a day keeps the sadness away!

No matter how you feel - just smile. Because when you smile only good things will attract to you.

Even though you may feel sad, there are people there to help... But who better to help you than yourself.

Yesterday JellyBean popped in at work with a surprise cold drink and kinderjoy just for me.. I laughed and gave him a hug, but stopped as a lady outside saw it. I don't want to get in trouble so i stood behind the counter again, JellyBean left for class.

A few minutes later that same lady asked me about manicures and pedicures, we had a few laughs and then she entered the salon and sat down and looked at me - smiled at me and in afrikaans told me that i was a beautiful young lady and that she wanted to tell me that. She started to become teary eyed and told me that i have an amazing laugh and that was the only reason she came into the shop. She said that i made her day.. She started to cry and i helped her stand up and i hugged her.

She then began to tell me all the troubles in her life - Her ex husband burnt the house down while she was asleep. about her new boyfriend who is looking after her is threatening to leave her homeless as he visits other woman. She has nothing.

I told her that everything happens for a reason and that she mustn't loose hope and keep on going. Her boyfriend was on his was back and she dried her tears and left, at the car she waved goodbye.

As the realization sank in, my chest felt heavy and my nose started to tingle - i kept the tears back because i realized that all i did was smile, that's how i made my difference. Although i would love to do much more for the lady! all i could do yesterday for her was smile and hug her.

Don't underestimate what a smile can do.

And the amounts of joy a hug can bring...

Even if no one reads my deed of the day - i know in my heart that i am making a change, one person at a time.

The best way to success is to take baby steps in the direction your gut and instincts direct you.

#6 - Been a while

Been a really long while - but trust me when i say that there isnt anything new.

We all have our differcences. . Wheather its taste in the arts, people - anything and everything. But there are these days where the most compatable person becomes unbearable!

Jealousy perhaps? Or is it because you feel that you are no different than someone else.

But then as stuborn as i assume i am - i just throw in the white flag - bacause i dont need to prove to anyone that i am good enough. Though who am I to say what is "Good Enough"

Today I graduated from my college, so i am finally done over there.. Not a  pretty photo but i wasnt in a pretty good mood either =P

Also my grandma and grandpa both had their birthday's and their aniversary today - I treasure them so dearly!

My date to go onto the boats is in april 2013.. Can you belive at how time just flies!?!
My friendy Mike came home quite some time ago - still havent gotton to give him a hug, but im so glad he had such a wonderful experience!

I've been so tired lately.. i feel that i am unable to function normally.. But oh well..

All that comes into our lives must go. For when we need it but dont want it - its there.
When we want it but  no longer need it - it goes... """"quote from movie nanny mcphee""""

#5 - Ends are only new beginings

There is not end at anything.. It all works in circles - practically repeating itself over and over again.

If you dont know what that diagram is.. Its the skin.. As a beauty therapist, we talk about the skin a lot!
Thw skin is divided into 3 Major layers as presented there. With in each layer are smaller layers.
The Epidermis is the one i want to highlight right now...

The Epidermis has layers of its own, and right now the only layer names you gotta remember is "Basal Layer'' (which is the bottom - first layer and the "Stratum cornium" which os the last top layer.
The difference between these 2 are that the Basal Layer is fresh, plumpy, new cells that get lots of nutrience and oxygen and are producing daughter cells. And the Stratum Cornium is flat, has dead cells that are flattened as they reach the surface.

My example is that life is like your skin, continuously repeating itself, as you loose your old cells, new ones are ready to replace them.
Also, life is similar to this, when you become a bigshot in life - money destroys you... Our skin has been showing us something all along....

so i want for training last week... Passed my theory but need to be re-evaluated for practicals... Sucky but hey I stressed myself into failure and only i am to be blamed...
Except i am placecol legal now :D

theres nothing new here - i miss a few people drastically but its nothing that patience cant heal
I havent anything else to say so.. Enjoy your day!!

Post #4 - is there always a point..

**Its said that everything in the end has a purpose. Does that mean when we die we will know our sole purpose. Could it involve the change in someone else's life to push them higher in the world, or to wake people up and open their eyes to the reality of the world we live in...**

Who's to say what anyone, even their own, purpose is in life...

See things at home are tense, it reminds me of a clients shoulders i had for massage once, i couldn't believe the tension she carried and still carries..
My sister moved in for the time being, with her husband and 3 kids. Which is awesome because i get to see my nieces and nephew every day. I know its hard for them but right now i think they're well off and it can give them the chance to get on their feet.
But usually when you're trying to get back onto your own feet, you push down on some one to get there..
I feel so sad that my awesome budgeting and saving skills got ruined this month because of buying  literally only milk and bread for 2 weeks.. I work long hours to get this salary to save up to go work for Steiner next year - but the way things are going now.. Well, to put it really nicely, its not going to happen...

                   *""Not going to happen""*
 - the words are like violent clouds of smoke blowing into my eyes causing them to sting, and suffocating me and burning my throught - from my tree of dreams, as flames engulf the small pieces of paper.
Eventually I will re-write the dreams that turned to ashes and put them back onto my tree and they will become true..

I've been told countless times that I'm strong enough, that i can don it.. Negative thinking will definitely get me no where and the easy way out is exactly what it says "cheating" - taking short cuts in a life that must be lived fully.

Rabbit in the picture over there is from one of my many favorite movies "Igor" Its a rabbit that just doesn't die no matter what he tries - he just cant die, but he wants to.. I think we should all be the opposite... We can die, its simple and so easy that its frightening - but we should fight to live, do everything we can to survive

Its been a while since I posted - but seeing as no one reads there - I'm okay with it.. This just makes thing easier for me to come with, because maybe someone will brows across it, and maybe some one will say
"well hey, that's something I'll start saying to myself" Just because they can relate....

That's all now I suppose - until next time when I feel the need to actually blog a bit :P

My point here being - that no matter what, there is a point to some thing - even when you dont see it. Things we look for are usually hidden in plain sight.

entry #3 - put your mind to it

"According to recognized aero-technical tests, the bumblebee cannot fly because of the shape and weight of his body in relation to the wing area. The bumblebee, however, does not know this. So he goes ahead and flies anyway"

Its been a quote that I cannot stop thinking about... and I have come to a final answer...

That whatever you set your mind to, is what your body can do..

nOw Im noT saYing you Can Fly or that yoUr Arms caN exteNd 50feet.. Im sayIng you can do anytHing that anyonE else can Do. You cAn clImb mOunT EverEst!

You don't need someone else to tell you that you can do it because then you wont believe them. You have to tell yourself!

Remember this cruise ship work i wanted to do? well no more because what they said wasn't exactly what i expected.. so i put my  ship offer on hold.. i want to think about this first.. work like a slave to only earn commission.. its like going on holiday and then secretly working for tips..
I think I will eventually do it.. I'm just going to wait a bit longer then - why rush for something like this? true i get to travel and I'm very nervous but I'm going to wait, and get into the right mind set...

I started on a book a while ago.. I think its going to be a great hit just like Twilight and Vampire Diaries.. those are the stories that the people are looking for :) I wont say my story line here just in case someone takes it and well, then i would be mad in deed! But the title is:

        The Marble Rose
  Or

The girl with the marble rose

I'm not to sure yet but which one sounds more *Legit*

Anyway, I guess that's about it, me telling you to believe in yourself - even though you may not look the part, doesn't mean you cant do it.

The sky is your only limit!

entry nr.2 - facing challenges

Every day we are faced with lots of new and old challenges... We may not notice them at time because some of them are rather easy. But its the really hard ones that we notice..

This week has been rather long and with all the stressing I'm feeling tired, makes sense because the body is in adrenaline mode when you stress - that burns sugars and fat to make energy so that the adrenaline can pump...

Facing challenges that seem impossible - well, they seem impossible but they can be done - we just have to push through it..

Gym, diet, work and social life :) doesn't sound like to much, but with time fading and flying so fast - it feels like a lot... But I know that this is something I can do.

In the process of change - accepting all challenges is in there! And I know that I can do anything I set my mind to... And my mind is set =)

Yesterday was rather fun - we gave 3 girls a free back & neck massage. These girls were the finalists for a beauty pageant that they get their hands dirty in

                                               Miss Earth SA

They do gardening and help unfortunate and disabled children and so forth.. Though I think sometimes there are so many anonymous people who do the same and don't get credit for it - but at least they know they made a change. But either way - its all good!

Its not the  big  changes that make the biggest difference - its the  small  ones that do!

           And that's that...

Accept everything that comes your way.. I'd rather do something and apologize instead of ask for permission and have missed out on a lesson. Learn the lesson! Take the challenge!

Entry nr.1 - A new everything...

Today I received feedback to confirm or reject my application to work on cruise ships over sea's..

I was accepted

The interview was on Saturday - and i personally thought i could do better, but it seems I was mistaken - as usual :)

As excited as I am to start my training in Cape Town (in October) there is one issue that will lead me to fail my Medical exam.. my BMI.. gosh.. im maybe 2-4 over the exceeded amount.. So i have now decided that exercise is on order...

Im going to change my life style, and everything basically.. I want to do well on the ships!

I hope to see family when i go over and my friend Mike :)
But i will definitely be missing my friends back home and most certainly my family... My mum sais she wont take me to the airport, and I know why.. Its hard to say goodbye - even for just a little while like 9 Months...

9months, funny, instead of being like all the girls around me, I would have traveled the world instead of having a child in the same an=mount of time :P

So cheers! To a new start! to a new everything!
